The search for happiness, the tantric way. Although I titled this article as the tantric way, please note that I’m not saying this is the only way to happiness.
You will find the truth no matter what your beliefs or practices are. And that’s the beauty of what I have learned while becoming more tantric in my life. To release all judgements and to live in the moment.
Like I said before tantra is not a religion, it’s just one of the ways in which you can pursue happiness.
During our whole lives, we want to have happy experiences but we unknowingly look for it within things that are limited. We look for happiness in relationships, sex, jobs/careers, in our family or other people, and even our worldly achievements.
Anything that is limited can only provide you with happiness momentarily. And when these momentary experiences of joy ends, we either go on the find our next experience of joy. Very much like an addiction. Or we become unhappy because the moment of joy ended.
In order to maintain a constant flow of happiness, we need to look for a supply that is not limited.
The only unlimited source you have access to your entire life is your consciousness/your soul/your higher self.
Unfortunately because of how complicated and hectic the world has become, we have cluttered our minds with thoughts and beliefs in order to protect ourselves against beliefs from the society we grew up in. And thus have lost our ability to be our complete authentic selves.
I’m a complete hopeless romantic. My whole life, the only thing I wanted to pursue was love. You know, that Romeo and Juliet kind of love story. Or the most well known tantric love story between Siva and Sakti. I was always afraid of being without love and lonely.
I now know that the only person that can love me exactly the way I want to be loved and that will be there until the very end is just my own consciousness. So I’m on a journey to discover myself and all the ways I want to be loved
